ELODIE VIGNON, piano
As an Artist-in-Residence of the Fondation Bell’Arte, established by Maestro Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, Elodie Vignon‘s career as a soloist has had
significant success in Europe and the United States. Ms. Vignon discovered her love for the piano and its endless possibilities at the age of four. In 2001, she was awarded a Gold Medal for her studies at the Conservatoire Régional de Lyon, under the tutelage of the 1983 Marguerite Long Grand Prize Winner Hervé
Billaut. She was invited thereafter to study with Daniel Blumenthal – a Laureate at the Queen Elizabeth International Piano Competition – at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels, where she obtained two Master degrees with Distinction in Piano Performance and Chamber Music, and consequently was invited to perform in numerous music festivals throughout Europe.
On many occasions over the last years, Ms. Vignon has been performing as a soloist with important orchestras under the baton of distinguished conductors such as Ramon Tebar and Philippe Entremont. One of the most notable is the performance of both Piano Concerti by Frédéric Chopin at the Palm Beach International Piano Festival. She has performed in such halls as the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Musée des Instruments de Musique in Brussels, the Teatro Nacional de Funchal in Madeira, the Ciurlionis Museum of Vilnius in Lithuania, and the Roerike Museum of Moscow in Russia, just to name a few.
As a chamber musician, she has performed with the Oxalys Ensemble, the Quartett Coryfeye, the Quartett Amôn, and frequently with the Belgian pianist Julien Libeer.
In March 2018, Ms. Vignon released her first recording for Cypres Records of the Complete Etudes for Piano by Claude Debussy, complemented by twelve poems she commissioned from Belgian poet Lucien Noullez. The recording received many good - more often rave - reviews in Europe, as well as ‘Four Stars’ in the famous French Magazine Classica. Ms. Vignon has been performing several CD promotional and releasing tours with various programs all around the world:
France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, North Carolina, Florida, Canada, and the Steinway Hall in New York City.
On 1st February 2020, her second album will be released for Cypres Records. Ms Vignon recorded three preludes and the piano sonata of Henri Dutilleux, and commissioned a solo piece from the belgian composer Claude Ledoux. She is invited by Flagey in Brussels to present her release concert during the Flagey Piano Days Festival on 14th February.
